The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Fintiri made the announcement during a statewide broadcast, stating that the decision was made in what he described as the best interests of the people of Adamawa.
He disclosed that all twenty one local government chairmen in the state, members of his cabinet, and other political structures are also leaving the PDP to join the APC.
According to the governor, the move is expected to attract more meaningful developmental projects and benefits for the people of the state.
Governor Fintiri urged citizens to support the decision as a step towards progress in Adamawa State.
