Rev’d Gbeminiyi Eboda Takes Men on the Move Conference to Agodi Correctional Facility

In furtherance of the goals of ‘Men on the Move’, the visioner and convener, of the conference , Revd Gbeminiyi Eboda, has led a convergence of men from all walks of life on impactful visit to Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan.

The visit which has the aim helping men rise, thrive, and lead; was to contribute to the well-being of the inmates, and be a beacon of hope to them.

the team donated essential drugs including antimalarials, antibiotics, injections, syringes, nose masks, kits and other materials that would facilitate the treatment of the inmates to make them sickness free.

In a remark, the convener, Revd Gbeminiyi Eboda, while making the presentation said ‘Men on the Move Conference’, would not shy away from identifying with men in whatever situation, as men were becoming endangered species, he further said the reason was an attack of the devil on this generation and failure on men

Rev’d Eboda stressed that if the man is fixed, the society will be fixed.

In a reaction , Assistant Controller of Corrections Odunlami, Agodi Correctional Facility, accompanied by other officers of the facility, thanked the Revd Gbeminiyi Eboda and the ‘Men on the Move’ delegation, spoke on the State of the Facility and other areas of need (which include vehicles, electricity, alternate power generation, learning and education facilities including volunteer teachers, health facilities and personnel, pro-bono representations in court, payment of fines and legal fees, beddings and among others.

The Controller later led the team on tour of the Correctional Facility, after which prayer was made for the community.

Recall that Men on the Move Conference made her launch on Saturday, 8th June, 2024, in the city of Ibadan with a highly impacting meeting that focused on ‘Men, Means and Dreams’ The meeting was adjudged the largest single gathering of men ever in one place and programme.
