Oyo NAWOJ Makes Case for Out-of-School Children
The Nigeria Association of Women journalists Oyo state chapter has called on stakeholders in education Sector to evolve pro active step at reducing number of out- of- school children in the Society.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chairperson of Oyo NAWOJ Mrs Omolola Alamu and the Secretary, Mrs Eniola Adeaga on this year’s commemoration of the International Day of the African Child.
The Association noted that there should be equity and fairness in the education sector to make education accessible to all children in the society without any barrier.
Oyo NAWOJ called for Collaboration among all stakeholders in the education sector so as to make policy that would enhance all children to access free education.
In the statement, Mrs Alamu congratulate all African children on this year’s occasion and salute their resilience in the face of the present economic downturn.
She advised parents and guidian to ensure a condusive environment for their children and wards in having basic education.
Speaking on the theme ” EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDREN IN AFRICA, THE TIME IS NOW, Mrs Alamu appealed to philanthropist in the Society to beam their searchlight on the education of the less privileged in the society as to better their lots.
