Oyo NAWOJ Seeks Synergy on Women, Children Welfare
In a bid to advance the course of women and children welfare the new executive of National Association of women Journalists, Oyo state chapter led by the chairperson, Mrs Omolola Alamu, has taken the campaign to the ministry of women affairs, Oyo state seeking synergy to achieve the mission.
There, the Oyo NAWOJ Chairperson person, Mrs Omolola Alamu, sought the collaboration of the Ministry to deliver robust welfare for women and children in the state to enable them contribute their quota to the nation’s development.
Alamu, stressed the need for the Association and the ministry to partner in the effort of campaigning for the inclusiveness of the downtrodden in the Society.
Oyo state Commissioner for Women affairs and Social inclusion,Mrs oluwatoyin Balogun, while acknowledging that the economic challenges of the nation dealt more blow on women and children noted that her Ministry has taken a lot of steps at ensuring that women are gainfully employed in Oyo state.
Mrs Balogun also explained that a lot of events are being set up for the aged and the physically challenged in the society to alleviate their sufferings.
