Youths Protest, Gives FG 30 Days to Fix Ogbomoso Road
Some youths, including The students, under the National Association of University Students and Ogbomoso Indigenous Associations in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have taken to the streets to protest the dilapidating condition of Ogbomoso route for commuters travelling between the North and Southwest.
The youths issued A 30-day ultimatum to the Federal and Oyo State governments to address the poor condition of the Road.
Speaking, on behalf of the protesters at the Saki Roundabout in Ogbomoso, the Vice President of NAUS, Mr Tiamiyu Olayinka, frowned at the tragic loss of lives caused by frequent accidents on the route.
The youths warned that failure to meet their demands would lead to more demonstrations and economic losses.
They also implored the Federal Ministry of Works and relevant authorities to speedy up to Complete the Ibadan-Ogbomoso Road project to give succor to affected businesses and residents.
