WPD: NIPOST Holds Road Show in Ibadan

As part of activities marking the 2024 World Post Day, staffers of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST, have held a road show in Ibadan.

The show which moved round the metropolis with the staffers dressed in Yellow shirts with Navy Blue stripes, as they distributed fliers containing NIPOST services, and sensitisation of the public on fast and efficient mailing as well as the logistics services of the agency.

They intimated the residents that the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST has introduced modern innovative services to meet up with the needs of the 21st century postal services across the globe.

State Postal Manager, NIPOST in Oyo state, Mrs Ronke Litan, explained that NIPOST had been in the forefront of enabling communications and connecting people, governments and businesses through its various unique services.

Mrs Litan highlighted other essential services of NIPOST to include counter automation, E-commerce/Logistics, Electronic Money transfer/Agency banking, bill board/slogan advertisement among other services.

She urged Nigerians to take advantage of NIPOST nationwide and global special delivery services for their transactions.

NIPOST is celebrating 2024 World Post Day, which is coincidentally the 150th anniversary of postal system. The celebration is unique, as our agency has been able to sustain enabling communications and connecting people in the last one and half century, she said “.

According to Litan, the World Post Day is celebrated annually today to raise awareness about the role of the postal sector in everyday lives, and its contributions to the world social and economic development.
