Vigilante Kills Four Kidnappers During Gun Duel in Igboho
Four Suspected kidnappers have been killed while engaging in a gun duel with Vigilantes in Igboho, Orelope local government area of Oyo state.
The kidnappers were said to be on the run but neutralized by vigilantes after they had allegedly abducted some people and raped their wives at a settlement in the town.
According to the commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Oyo state command, Comrade Sunday Olajide, his men were quickly mobilized after the incident was reported to him.
A fierce gun duel with the suspected kidnappers was recorded, resulting in the death of four of the suspects and recovery of one Ak 47 rifle in the midnight operation.”
Comrade Olajide said the midnight operation was not alien to his men, hence the advantage over the suspects.
The VGN commander who urged government to support the vigilante group said the bodies of the suspects including the gun recovered from them have been handled over to Igboho Divisional Police headquarters.
