The Alagamo of Agamo in Akure North Local government area of Ondo state, Oba Kehinde Falodun has been killed by some unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering about 10 hacked the monarch to death infront of his palace in Agamo.
Sources close to the family said the bandits came to his palace on Wednesday evening with a plan to kidnap the monarch but this was repelled by him.
According to the sources, the monarch was thereafter shot several times but the gunshots did not penetrate his body.
This prompted the bandits to use another weapon to hit Oba Falodun on the head which led to his death.
Police in Ondo are yet to react to the incident.
