The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has honoured forty-three (43) outstanding alumni of its Faculty of Law who earned First-Class Honours at the 2024 Nigerian Law School Bar Examinations.
The celebration, held at the Faculty’s Boardroom, attracted a distinguished audience comprising the honourees, faculty members, students, alumni, and dignitaries. Each of the celebrated graduates received a commemorative medal and a congratulatory handshake from the university’s management, a symbolic gesture of institutional pride and recognition of excellence.
Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research), Professor Bola Oboh, commended the Faculty of Law for its consistency in producing top-tier graduates. She described the feat as a testament to UNILAG’s enduring culture of academic excellence and charged the new lawyers to uphold the highest ideals of integrity and professionalism.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Abiola Sanni, SAN, lauded the graduates’ performance, describing it as a reflection of the faculty’s rigorous academic standards and commitment to nurturing exceptional legal minds.
