UCH Releases Official Statement on Aduke Gold’s Death

The management of University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan has cleared the air on the conflicting reports surrounding the passing of a fast rising gospel singer, Adenekan Temidayo Aduke, popularly known as Aduke Gold.

News about the death of Aduke Gold filtered in early Tuesday, 13th August, 2024 with the cause undisclosed.

Few days later, it was reported in some media that Aduke Gold died of Cervical Cancer while some said she died while she was being operated on for Fibroid in the hospital.

However UCH mangement in a statement by Funmilayo Adetuyibi,information & Public Relations Officer said her cause of her death was not disclosed by the hospital management.

Thereafter, her video was circulated walking into the theatre at the premier hospital showing the preliminaries before the main operation.

Setting the record straight on how she died, The UCH mangement however in a statement by Funmilayo Adetuyibi, Information & Public Relations Officer said noted that the late singer, Aduke Gold did not undergo any surgery during her time at UCH.


Aduke Gold was referred to UCH on August 3rd, 2024 and was admitted to the hospital. Sadly, she passed away on August 12th, 2024. ”
