The Polytechnic Ibadan Strikes Partnership Deal with Oyo NAWOJ on Women Empowerment

The Polytechnic Ibadan Management has struck a collaborative deal with the Oyo State chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ in the area of women empowerment and gender equality.

The Rector of the Polytechnic Ibadan Dr. Taiwo Lasisi, noted that the institution would work closely with NAWOJ Oyo State chapter on its lofty programmes to train and empower women in the state.

Speaking, while playing host to the Executives of the association led by the chairperson, Mrs. Omolola Alamu, the Rector, lauded Oyo NAWOJ for playing strategic role in national development objective news reportage

The Management of the institution also decorated the NAWOJ Chairperson Omolola Alamu and some members who are alumni of the institution with ambassadorial roles.

NAWOJ is one of the professional associations in Nigeria that Sharp the country through dissemination of accurate information.The institution have no choice than to support the association in its lofty programmes.The institution will partner with the Association in the area of training and empowerment.”

Earlier, the Oyo NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Omolola Alamu said the visit was to strenghten the existing relationship between the Association and the Polytechnic Ibadan.

She reiterated the Association’s commitment to project the achievements of the institution while commending the rector on the rapid turn around of the institution.

Alamu also intimated the Polytechnic Ibadan management about the forthcoming Nawoj week scheduled to commence on 27th October with Thanksgiving service at Oritamefa Baptist Church Ibadan.
