Sowore Condemns Obi’s Visit to Afe Babalola Over Dele Farotimi’s Trial

A human rights activist and presidential candidate of AAC in the 2023 general election, Omoyele Sowore, has expressed displeasure of the visit of former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi to the legal luminary, Aare Afe Babalola in Ado Ekiti

Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general election, visited the revered legal icon to plead for leniency in his legal tussle with a Lagos based lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi over allegation of defamation of character.

Sowore, haven gotten swipe of the visit, condemned the act in a tweet posted on his X account @yelesowore saying the detention of the human rights activist was unjust hence the need for justice to prevail.

He noted that Obi’s action was tantamount to glorifying injustice and criminality.

“I condemn those who went to “beg” Chief Afe Babalola today over the unjust detention and persecution of @DeleFarotimi; the delegation led by @PeterObi did colossal injustice to the struggle to drain the swamp of judicial criminality in our country”
