Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC–Oyo South), and the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, has extended warm congratulations to former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, on his recent elevation to the prestigious chieftaincy title of Aare Alaasa of Ibadanland.
In a personally signed statement released to the press on Friday in Ibadan, Senator Alli described the honour as well-deserved, recognizing Senator Folarin’s unwavering dedication to the progress of Ibadanland and his support for traditional institutions.
He commended the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, for upholding the integrity of Ibadan’s revered traditional system, noting that Folarin’s elevation from Ikolaba to Aare Alaasa signifies a deepening of his influence and role within the city’s traditional hierarchy.
Senator Folarin has consistently demonstrated excellence in public service and traditional leadership,” Alli stated. “I encourage him to use this new position to promote unity, drive development, and preserve the cultural heritage of Ibadanland.”
Senator Alli also offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine grace for Senator Folarin as he takes on his new responsibilities. He expressed confidence that Folarin’s tenure as Aare Alaasa would bring substantial value to both the Olubadan-in-Council and the people of Ibadanland.
