A Philanthropist, Ayodeji Sakiru Alayande, has distributed food items to over 1500 residents during a Ramadan lecture he sponsored in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Food items distributed include rice, sphagetti, Semovita , milk, and other food items.

At the programme, which took place at the Palace of Olugbode, Itabaale Ibadan, Alayande urged Muslim faithful to use their wealths and positions to positively impact the people around them during and after the holy month.
He added that Ramadan was a time for reflection, noting that ramadan was beyond fasting but time to deepen connection with God and as well to serve humanity.
“Ramadan is a time for reflection , it is beyond fasting , and time to deepen our connection with God and serve humanity “
“May I use this opportunity to appeal to our people to wake up from our comfort zones and join the task of helping others.
Don’t give to get, give to inspire”. I am appealing to every one of us to make a paradigm shift by adopting a selfless approach in our giving attitude.”
The Guest lecturer at the event , Sheikh Abubakir Mohammed Solaty, admonished Nigerians to always give freely to the needy.
He maintained that giving to the needy should not be limited to ramadan period or close relations alone, adding that people should imbibe the spirit of giving instead of being a receiver at all times .
As we receive mercy from God we should be kind by giving to the needy in our environment, while we should also strive to be a giver too and not a receiver at all time”
“We should all embrace Godly ways of living and desist from wicked ways in life as there is reward for good deeds”
Also speaking, one of the beneficiaries at the event , Alhaja Saudat Olokoto, appreciated the host for the gesture while she prayed for the philanthropist.
Also present at the event is the Chief Imam of Ibadan land , Sheikh Abdulganiyy Abubakr Agbotomokekere .
