The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kachelan Pharma-Research Limited, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Dr. Ibrahim Olanrewaju Arasi, has been honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan.
The award, presented during the Faculty’s Alumni Lecture and Award Ceremony, celebrates Dr. Arasi’s outstanding professional achievements, contributions to veterinary medicine, and unwavering commitment to advancing pharmaceutical research and animal health in Nigeria.
In his remark, Dr. Arasi expressed deep appreciation to the University for the recognition, describing it as a reaffirmation of his passion for excellence and innovation in the health sector, noting that the award would further inspire him to continue promoting research-driven solutions and capacity building within the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries.
Dr. Ibrahim Olanrewaju Arasi was born over four decades ago. He studied Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan where he earned the prestigious Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007.
As a distinguished veterinarian, entrepreneur, and pharmaceutical innovator, Dr. Arasi has consistently demonstrated professional excellence and visionary leadership, bringing immense pride to his alma mater.
From his early days at Animal Care Konsult Limited, where his passion for animal health and welfare was evident, to the establishment of Lanchak Co. Ltd, a reputable animal disease diagnostic company, Dr. Arasi’s commitment to advancing veterinary care has been unwavering. 
His innovative spirit and dedication to service have further led to the founding of Kachelan Pharma Research Limited, a pioneering pharmaceutical enterprise that has made significant contributions to veterinary and public health through sustainable indigenous veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Dr. Arasi, a strong advocate of lifelong learning has pursued continuous growth and leadership, earning his Master of Business Administration from the Business School of the Netherlands in 2023. He is also a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), further demonstrating his multidisciplinary excellence.
Dr. Ibrahim Olanrewaju Arasi is a young and vibrant veterinary professional and entrepreneur who has continued to inspire younger generation with his versatility, humility and exemplary ‘Can do it ‘ spirit.
He’s a pride of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Ibadan at large.
As a devout Muslim, he effectively combines his business and professional activities with a great sense of devotion to pristine family values and the fear of God.
