Police Arrests Hotel Manager for Human Trafficking in Ogun
A 50-year-old hotel manager in Sabo area of Sagamu ,Waheed Alawodi has been arrested by the operatives of the Ogun State Command for alleged conspiracy and Human trafficking.
The arrest followed a complaint by a Concerned citizen for luring young girls into prostitution, in an hotel in the Sabo area of Sagamu.
Some of the victims who confirmed the incident to the complinant said they were brought from Akwa-Ibom State under the pretense of employing them in a supermarket in Sagamu, and been paid One hundred thousand each at the end of the year.
The Police Public Relations Officer, OmOlola Odutola further disclosed that, with the arrest of the manager, other staff and sex workers fled from the Hotel.
The Police Spokesperson said the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department ,SCIID, Eleweran in Abeokuta, for further investigation.
