Police Accidental Discharge Kills Woman in Ekiti
A woman has been accidentally shot by a policeman incident at Okela police post, Ado Ekiti in the afternoon.
Witnesses confirmed that the woman was across the road in front of a saloon, when the gun of one of the officers attached to another unit of the Ekiti State Police Command but present in the station accidentally discharged and hit the woman.
Prime News gathered that the woman was rushed to the hospital but couldn’t make it.
When contacted, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, AIG Akinwale Adeniran confirmed the incident.
He said the officer in charge has been disarmed and detained for interrogation in line with the police act.
