POJ Visits Oyo APC Chairman, Pledges More Support For Party
A stalwart of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who also doubles as Mogaji Ojo Eweena, Oke Offa, Baba Sale, (Engr) Popoola Olukayode Joseph popularly called POJ has on Thursday paid an official visit to the Chairman, APC, Oyo State, Alhaji Olayide Abass at his Oke Ado, Ibadan office.
While receiving his guest, Alhaji Olaide stated that Mogaji Engr Popoola is a well-respected public servant while in the service.
He explained that Popoola as an Engr who rose to the peak of his career as a director, was never at any time found wanting in the discharge of his duty.
He added POJ served the nation with commitment and integrity, which is what the party in Oyo state is standing for and aimed to achieve when returned to governance in the state.
The Chairman said that individuals such as Mogaji Engr Popoola is what the party in Oyo state need now especially at this time when the party is being revuilt and reconciliation ongoing among members.
He charged him to join hands with the leadership of the party in its quest to grow the party and shun every form of individuality and promote collectiveness.
Earlier, Mogaji Engr Popoola described the party chairman as well respected progressive who God has chosen at this time to reposition Oyo APC.
POJ assured of his readiness and that of his supporters across Oyo state to team up with leaders, stakeholders, and the entire members to change the fortune of the party to that of greatness.
He commended the APC led federal government under the leadership of Preaident Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his
steadfastness to reposition and redirect the nation to the path of prosperity, calling on Nigerians to join hands with the President.
It will be recalled that POJ, being a grassroot politician, had joined the party from his ward, ward 10, Ibadan North East local government and since been attending the meeting.
Mogaji Engr Popoola membership of APC has been greeted with enthusiasm and joy among leaders in the ward and the local government.
Among whom who had congratulated him included party Chieftains, among whom are Mrs. Omolola Odekunbi, Alhaji Elewure, the chairman of APC in Ibadan North East, Prince Gbade Lana, Chief Oloya among others.
Mogaji Engr Popoola was accompanied to the party secretariat by Mr Adegbola Adesesan, former Chairman of Oyo State NNPP, Mr Adewuyi former chairman Lagelu Local Government, Dr Olufemi and many others.
