Petrol Tanker Bursts into Flame While Offloading Content in Iseyin
A petrol ladden tanker on Sunday afternoon went into flame while offloading it’s content at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC filling station in Iseyin town, Oyo state leaving residents in fear, as they Scamper for Safety
It was gathered that the petroleum station, located at Agip area of Iseyin, caught fire around two in the afternoon but local youths joined efforts with men of Oyo State fire service to extinguish the raging inferno.
Confirming the incident, The General Manager, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr Akinyinka Akinyemi said normalcy has returned to the town.
Mr Akinyemi explained in a statement made available to newsmen that his men were able to curb the fire before it spreads to other parts of the town adding that houses close to the station were also affected in the incident.
