Oyo NAWOJ Visits SUBEB Chairman, Seeks Promotion of Girls Education
The Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Nureni Adeniran has assured women journalists in the State of his support at all time.
Adeniran stated this while hosting the executive members of the Oyo State chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), in his office.
According to him, his love for journalism profession will always make him to support media practitioners in the State.
“I love journalism as a profession. That is why I will always support practitioners of this noble profession. ”
In her remark, the Chairperson OYO NAWOJ in the State, commended Dr Adeniran for his support and kind gesture to women journalists in the State at all time.
“As journalists, we recognize the importance of education in shaping the future of our children and our state. We commend the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board for its efforts in improving access to quality education for all.”
“However, we are concerned about the persistent gender disparities in education, particularly in rural areas. We urge the board to prioritize initiatives that promote girls’ education, address the gender gap, and provide equal opportunities for all.”
We request collaboration with our association to amplify the voices of girls and women in education. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable education system.”
