Oyo LG Staff Pension Board, Chairman Akeem Ige Bags CCII “Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene Award”

It was a moment of accolades and recognition of excellence as the Chairman, Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon Akeem Ige recieved the award of “Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene” (MPI) from the umbrella body of all socio- cultural group in Ibadan, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII)

The award which was presented to Hon. Ige, a former member of Oyo state House of Assembly and former Special Adviser to governor Seyi Makinde on Culture and Tourism at the heat of the grand finale of 2024 Ibadan Cultural Festival brought to the fore the numerous sterling achievements of the grassroots politician.

The ceremony, which attracted , eminent sons and daughters of Ibadanland as well as accomplished non Indigenes, both home and in the diaspora including the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde was a show of class, fashion and culture at Liberty stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

President-General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) Chief Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewole, in his address lauded Hon Akeem Ige exceptional qualities and sterling contributions to the development of the people and Ibadanland.


Hon Akeem Ademola Ige is a worthy son of Ibadan, we are always proud of him. He’s humane, respectful and resourceful”


Recieving the award, Hon Ige dedicated the award to the governor His Seyi Who gave him the opportunity to serve the people positively which robbed on the Ibadanland

Ige who was emphatic that the award would spour him for better service promised to improve on his programmes and initiatives to deliver more dividends of democracy to humanity and progress of Ibadanland.
