Oyo Government Disburses N554 million Bursary to Indigent Students
Oyo State government has commenced the distribution of #554 million naira bursary to over two thousand indigent students in support of their education pursuit.
Speaking at the beginning of the disbursement for 2024/2025 academic session, Governor Seyi Makinde said the bursary which is on for the past four years, is geared towards relieving the hardship being experienced by the indigent students in their academic endeavors.
Governor Makinde, who was represented by Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Victor Olojede, urged the students to use the money judiciously.
In a remark Chairman, Oyo State Scholarship Board, Maruf Atilola called the beneficiaries to remain good ambassadors of the state in their respective institutions.
Some of the beneficiaries commended the initiative, calling for more revolutions in the state’s educational institutions.
