The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has announced the reopening of St. Louis Nursery and Primary School.
This decision follows a comprehensive meeting between the Ministry, the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, the school administrator, and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA).
Effective immediately, academic activities will resume with the formal commitment by the school’s management to strictly adhere to the state’s rules and regulations governing private educational institutions.
During the meeting, Revd. Father (Dr.) Omolaki, the Education Secretary and team lead for the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, offered a formal apology to the state government.
He assured officials that the school would prevent any future breaches of law and order or actions that infringe upon the rights of the pupils.
The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, emphasized the importance of synergy between the school and the government.
He advised the administration to maintain regular communication with the Ministry’s Zonal Office to clarify regulatory requirements and resolve any operational grey areas
Through this collaborative effort, the Ministry reaffirms its dedication to maintaining high standards of discipline and child welfare across all schools in the state.
