Oluwo Organises “Telu Cup” Football Competition
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, has organised a football competition tagged “Telu Cup” for football clubs in iwoland.
The competition is scheduled to commence on Saturday 25th November, 2023 at Oluwo Stadium in Iwo, Osun State.
The competition according to Oba Akanbi stated the need to discover bright football talents and promote unity among the youths necessitated his interest in the competition.
He urged participants to see the competition as an opportunity to showcase their talents and seek support.
A statement released by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, stated that as the promoter of the competition, the monarch would be there to flag off the soccer match”
Iwoland is blessed with talents in all fields and disciplines. Football, being one of the leading engagements for the youth, I want to invest heavily in it primarily to discover and promote talents. In the process, unity will also be registered among our growing youth
“About 30 football clubs have registered. The committee is in place to ensure best outings in the history of football competitions in our land”
I enjoin the youth to maximize the opportunity and convert it to advantage. The competition will form part of my annual routines.
