Oba Olakulehin Gets Staff of Office as 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has presented the Staff of Office to Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
At the Coronation Ceremony which took place at the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, president Bola Tinubu, represented by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu congratulated the new Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin for ascending the throne of his forefathers, urging people to support the monarch for more development in Ibadanland.
In a remark, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde expressed excitement that Ibadan Indigenes demonstrated their resilience, during the delay of approval and coronation of the Monarch.
On his part, Ogun State Governor who is also the Chairman, Nigeria Southern Governors, Prince Dapo Abiodun said, Olubadan as one of the Prominent Monarchs in Nigeria would always receive the support of all towards making his reign impactful.
Speaking after his installation, Oba Olakulehin assured the people of Ibadanland and Nigeria in general that he would not let them down.
Dignitaries present at the event included Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Akande, Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olayide Adelami, Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Makanjuola Akinola Members of National Assembly, Former Deputy Governors and Many Traditional Rulers.
