Nigerian Red Cross Society Raises N6.7 million for Borno Flood Victims
The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) says it has raised N6.7 million in just three weeks to support flood response efforts in Borno state.
This was revealed in the NRCS’s humanitarian report, themed “Reflection, Resilience, and Recommitment to Humanitarian Service.”
The report highlighted the organisation’s relief operations, which have assisted thousands of families across Adamawa, Anambra, Oyo, Kebbi, Kogi, and Rivers states.
In addition to flood relief, NRCS partnered with the Norwegian Red Cross and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to launch a “Training of Trainers” programme aimed at strengthening the country’s preparedness for the Mpox outbreak, which affected 26 states and the FCT
