Nigeria Congratulates Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Her Election Victory As First Female President
The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her historic election as the first Female President of Namibia.
Nandi-Ndaitwah, who has been serving as Namibia’s Vice President, emerged victorious in the recently concluded election.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs acting spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Nigeria hailed the Namibian electorate for their commitment to stability and democracy.
Nigeria is ready to collaborate with Namibia to promote the mutual interests of our citizens,” the statement read, highlighting the shared history and values between the countries.
Nandi-Ndaitwah’s election is being celebrated across the continent as a victory for gender equality and a step forward in increasing female representation in African leadership.
