New Year Thanksgiving: Resist Illegal Migration in 2025 – Prophetess Adebayo
Founder of Christ Followers Evangelical Ministry (CFEM), Prophetess Esther Oluwakemi Adebayo Adonai, has issued a cautionary message to Nigerians at the church’s 2025 New Year Thanksgiving, advising against the trend of migration without divine guidance.
Reflecting on the mass exodus of Nigerians last year, she expressed concern over the lack of proper research on migration destinations, leading to many individuals being stranded after selling off their assets to fund their journey.
Prophetess Adebayo, stressed the importance of seeking God’s direction before making any decisions, especially regarding relocating abroad.
Seek the face of the lord before you take any step this year. If you see God in Nigeria, you’ll breakthrough irrespective of the economic challenges. Many have migrated to countries rated lower than Nigeria, most of our people are being plunged into slavery.”
She pointed out that surviving outside one’s homeland requires God’s grace, and emphasized that many Nigerians have moved to countries that are even less developed than their own, often facing harsh realities, including forced labor and exploitation, citing the negative impact on families, ministries, and businesses due to such migrations. 
Many have lost their Ministries on the alter of traveling abroad, a lot of families are broken and shattered, businesses crumbled and properties cheaply disposed off just because of traveling abroad “
In her sermon, Prophetess Adebayo urged Nigerians to avoid complaining about their circumstances, reminding them to trust in God’s plans for their lives in 2025 while encouraging the congregation to embrace praise and gratitude, as grumbling could prolong hardships.
Do not complain this year, put your trust in God and He’ll rise to your help. Inculcate the habit of praising God, grumbling and complaining will elongate your sufferings, believe that God has plan to settle you in 2025″
