NAWOJ Seeks Urgent Tackle of Economic Hardship

Sharing is caring!

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has called for immediate tackle of economic hardship ravaging the nation.

This is contained in a communiqué issued at the end of Extended Central Committee Meeting CWC held in Bauchi State

The Association noted that the current economic hardship was traceable to the inability of farmers to man their occupation effectively due to fear of being abducted or killed outrightly, thereby calling on the three tiers of governments to intensify efforts in combating insecurity in the country

It also called on States that are yet to assent to Child Rights and VAPP laws to speed up the process so as to help in curbing incidents of rape and other forms of molestation of the female gender.

The association called on its members to adhere strictly to professionalism and maintain the highest standards of journalism practice in their reportage while stressing the need for training through personal development.
