Methodist Grammar School Bodija, Old Students 94 Set Celebrates 30th Anniversary
It was a memorable day in the lives of old students of Methodist Grammar School, Bodija, Ibadan, 1994 set, as they reunited in Ibadan, after 30 years of leaving the school.
The old students, mostly clad in white and blue attires, were excited to see one another, including their former teachers during a reunion party to mark the 30th anniversary graduation of the set held at Ibadan Business school, Bodija.
Some of the old students, who are now in the diaspora, were not left out as they joined in the celebration virtually.
The reunion party afforded the old students ample opportunity to catch up with old classmates which brought about fond memories of their days back in the school.
Speaking on the essence of the reunion, President of the set, Mr Dele Ibikunle said it was an opportunity for them to bond and deliberate on how to give back to their Alma Mata.
In separate interviews, two of the old students, Mr Akin Amole, who is the Deputy Director, Finance and Account, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, as well as, Treasurer of the set and Mrs Ronke Runsewe, expressed their excitements to see old friends, noting that the reunion had also afforded them the opportunity to know how each other was faring.
Delivering a talk on the occasion, a Financial Expert, Mr Adebayo Adeyinka advised the old students to resist the temptation of comparing themselves with one another in order not to mount unnecessary pressure on themselves.
Highlights of the reunion party were presentation of awards to five of the former teachers of the old students and cutting of the anniversary cake.
