Managing Aggression in Dogs: The Context of Animal Welfare

Dogs are generally territorial in nature. Their aggression could be caused by the temperament of the breed. Each breed has different temperament. The temperament is also a product of breed selection over time. That is why there are different roles or duties assigned to different breed of dogs. We need to understand dog’s temperament and the reasons for their behavioral change. What is aggression?
Are all dogs aggressive?
What are the causes of aggression?
What could make dogs to become too aggressive?
Which breeds are predisposed to aggression?
What are the different breeds of dogs and their associated uses?
How can aggression be controlled in dogs?
When dogs are extremely aggressive, what should the owner do?
Can the dog attempt to dominate its owner?
What should be done to avert this tendency?
When the dog becomes overtly aggressive, what should be done in the context of compliance with the tenets of animal welfare?
