Journalistic Integrity Key to Impactful Reporting – Rev’d Dahunsi
The Deputy Director of Programmes at Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, the Rev’d Niyi Dahunsi, has called on online journalists to uphold the ethics of journalism and demonstrate mastery of the English language to enhance effective communication of events and issues to the public.
Rev’d Dahunsi gave the charge while hosting the executive members of the Nigeria Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), Oyo State chapter, led by the Vice Chairman, Mr. Henry Odeh, at the Broadcasting House of Radio Nigeria, Dugbe, Ibadan.
He emphasized that Christian journalists occupy a privileged position that requires them to distinguish themselves in the media space by maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity in their reports.
He noted that proper command of English grammar is essential to avoid distortion and misinformation, especially when covering sensitive or trending issues in society.
We have a multifaceted assignment before us, and we must be well-groomed and sharpened in all areas of journalistic practice to break even,” Rev’d Dahunsi stated.
He encouraged the journalists to leverage their platforms to address societal ills and to correct misconceptions about Christianity and heresies within Christendom.

Rev’d Dahunsi concluded by urging the association to remain steadfast in their mission, using their voices to promote truth and positive change in society.
Earlier in a remark, Vice Chairman , NACJ, Oyo State Chapter, Mr Henry Odeh, sought the counsel and guidance of the host for effective function of the association in the state.
