IBADAN EXPLOSION: Oyo CAN Chairman Visits Scene, Commends Security for Prompt Response
The Chairman, Christian Association Of Nigeria, Oyo State, Apostle Dr.Joshua Sola Akinyemi on Thursday led leadership of Christian Community in the state to Dejo Oyelese street, Bodija Ibadan scene of Tuesday night explosion.
Speaking at the scene, Apostle Akinyemiju described the incident as unfortunate and sad especially at the beginning of a new year.
The Chairman who visited the scene alongside executives of CAN as well as the Chairman, Christian Journalists in the state , Lekan Shobo Shobowale condoles affected families who have lost their loved ones and property.
He said even in all that has happened, there is still a place of thanksgiving, describing the limitations of the explosion as a grace and mercy from God.
Akinyemiju, a retired Colonel in the Nigerian Army interacted with some of the security personnel at the site of the scene commended them for their prompt response.
He urged the people of the state to continue to pray to God so as to future occurrences and other of such.
He commended the Oyo state government under the leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde for coming to the aid of those affected while assuring them rhat Government is on top of the situation.
On the entourage of the CAN Chairman included, Chairman, Nigeria Association of Christian Journalists in Oyo State, Lekan Shobo Shobowale, members of the Oyo state CAN executives among others.
