Hunger Protest Day 3: Police Records, 7 Deaths, 681 Arrests in Two Days
The Nigeria Police Force has released the total figure of arrestsade across the 36 states of the country including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, in the first two days of the #EndBadGovernance and #Hunger Protest rocking tge country.
In a statement by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer on Saturday, the Nigerian Police said the total number of deaths recorded so far during the protests is seven.
The NPF in the figures released , the arrest were made in eight states namely; FCT, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Nasarawa and Sokoto, Kano recorded the highest number of arrest with 383 in the first and second day of the protest.
According to the police, those arrested were accused of various criminal offences such as armed robbery, arson, mischief, and destructions of both public and private property.
