Governor Makinde will Affirm Alhaja Saratu Konibaje as Oyo State Iyaloja-General – Engr Sanusi
The Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, Engr Dotun Sanusi has expressed confidence that the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde would affirm the election that produced Alhaja Chief Saratu konibaje as Iyaloja-General of Oyo State.
Engr Sanusi, a staunch supporter of Alhaja Konibaje, describe the governor as a lover of peace and a believer due process, noting that he would jettison falsehood and uphold the truth in the interest of the majority that elected chief Saratu Konibaje as the new Iyaloja-General of Oyo.
Truth is constant , the governor is a truthful person, he cannot be swayed by falsehood. We believe in the leadership capability of Alhaja Chief Saratu Aduke KONIBAJE as Iyaloja general of Oyo State and I know Governor Seyi Makinde will not go against the wish of the majority”
Speaking at the re-opening ceremony of the Newly Renovated Bower’s Tower in Ibadan, the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, called on accomplished Ibadan indigenes to play their part in upgrading the historical edifice to a world class tourist centre.
On his part, President-General Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Niyi Ajewole explained that the CCII threw weight behind Alhaja Saratu konibaje after an interface with the two contenders.
While commending the philanthropic gesture of Egnr Dotun Sanusi for bankrolling the refurbishment of the Bower’s Tower, the CCII President General promised to play key role in making Bower’s Tower a world class tourism spot.
The Oyo State commissioner of Culture and Tourism , Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun commended Engr Dotun Sanusi for bankrolling the rehabilitation of the tower, saying history would not forget him.
The Bowers Tower which now wears a new look, underwent repair process on the spiral stairs, toilet refurbishment as well as provision of water.
