Governor Makinde Presents N434.2 billion 2024 Budget of Economic Recovery to House of Assembly
Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has presented a budget estimate of 434.2 billion naira tagged budget of economic recovery as budget proposal for 2024 fiscal year.
Governor Seyi Makinde who laid the budget proposal before the house of assembly shortly after a keynote address, hinted that capital expenditure would get a total of 222 billion naira while recurrent expenditure would gulp 211 billion naira of the total budget.
He expressed hopes that the proposed budget would provide cushioning effect to challenges facing the people in the state.
He proposed an IGR of 72 billion naira, with the target of 6 billion naira monthly without additional tax burden on the people while reaffirming his resolve to facilitate infrastructure that will target the state economy.
Governor Makinde equally expressed concerns to address the huge budget deficit in education with a target on rehabilitating deplorable public school infrastructures.
