Gov Oyebanji Launches Ekiti Innovation Hub, Promises More Platforms for Youths

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing the youth with the necessary platform and support to achieve their innovative goals and contribute to the state’s development.

The governor who gave the assurance during the launch of the Ekiti Innovation Hub in Ado-Ekiti, emphasized the importance of skills and innovation in driving societal progress, hence the need to empower the youth to reach their full potential.

Mr Oyebanji urged the young ones to be patient with his administration to develop the state; promising to integrate innovation and science into the school curriculum to prepare the younger generation for a technological renaissance in Ekiti.

The state Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Digital Economy, Mr Seun Fakuade, who disclosed the determination of Mr Oyebanji to make Ekiti state the innovative capital of Nigeria, said the governor has already kicked started the first pilot phase of Innovation Enterprise Support Funds to empower talented youths in the state to develop their ideas.

Key highlight of the event was the practical demonstration of different technological innovations by talented students from the state’s higher institutions, which were showcased to Governor Oyebanji.
