Gov Makinde, Ibadan Indigenes Inaugurates Multi-Million Naira Modern Olubadan Palace
The Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde,has inaugurated the new Olubadan palace in Ibadan.
The governor, who was joined by prominent sons and daughters of ibadanland cut the tape of the ultramodern palace and thereafter toured the edifice.
Governor Makinde acknowledged the efforts of former Governor late Abiola Ajimobi who started the construction of the palace as well as the former President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) and all Ibadan indigenes who contributed to make the project a reality.
He hinted that process had been established for all 11 local government councils in Ibadan to contribute to maintain the new palace on monthly basis.
The governor also promised the renovation of the Bower’s Tower, to boost tourism in Oyo State.
