The funeral ceremonies for Mama Abigail Elefunke Ajoke Ojoose Akanmu (Nee Kehinde), mother of former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyo state chapter, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, will begin on Thursday.
In a release by the family and made available to journalists in Ibadan , the Oyo state capital, Christian wake will hold on Thursday, May 8, by 4pm, at E9/1530, Pastor B.O Akanmu close, Efun quarters , Olaogun Old Ife road, Ibadan.
According to the release, there will be an indoor funeral service on Friday, May 9, 2025 by 8am at the same venue.
Thanksgiving service then holds same Friday, May 9, 2025, by 10am at Christ Apostolic Church, C.A.C, Oke Isegun, Victorious Avenue, Old Ife road? Ibadan.
Reception follows immediately at Bashmol Event Centre, Holy Trinity Grammar School, road, off Old Ife road, Ibadan.
Mama Akanmu slept in the Lord on the 8th March 2025, aged 130 years.
Mama Akanmu was a devout Christian who spent her active years in the work of ministry.
