FG Donates N30m To Family of Late National Flag Designer, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi
Federal Government of Nigeria has donated Thirty Million Naira to the family of the late designer of the National Flag, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi.
The gesture reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to honouring the late Pa Akinkunmi’s remarkable contributions to national unity.
Presenting the Cheque on behalf of the Federal Government to the family at the residence of Pa Akinkunmi in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Director-General, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, emphasised that the government would continue to acknowledge the impact and patriotism of Late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi.
Mallam Issa-Onilu described the deceased as a national hero who used his God-given talent as a youth to design the National Flag which is one of the National Symbols till date in the Country.
Responding on behalf of the family, One of the Children of Late Pa Akinkunmi, Mr Akinwunmi Akinkunmi appreciated President Bola Tinubu for keeping to his promise of supporting the family, saying the gesture will not be forgotten while appealing to the Federal Government to immortalise their Patriarch.
Earlier , the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, paid a heartfelt visit to the tomb of Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, to further commiserate with his family.
