FG Commences Rehabilitation Works on Sagamu-Ijebu -Ode -Ore Road
Federal government has commenced the rehabilitation work on Sagamu-Ijebu -Ode -Ore road to reduce traffic bottleneck along the axis.
Speaking with Journalists after the tour of the road, Ogun State Comptroller General, Federal Ministry of Works, Mrs. Oloyede Foroshola, said federal government would ensure that the condition of the road was transformed to improve economic viability of the area to checkmate incessant traffic associated with the route.
Mrs Forosola said the Federal Minister of Works, David Umahi had charged the construction company handling the rehabilitation process to ensure necessary measures, including de-flooding the flooded portion, as well as construction of box culverts, binders and other relevant materials were put in place.
She informed that the rehabilitation began from Sagamu Interchange to Itele with 60km on either side, noting that safety measures and control of vehicular movement during the exercise would be provided by the Federal Road Safety Corp and Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency.
