FG Boosts Blood Service in Southwest, Installs Solar-Powered Equipment
As part of efforts at improving service delivery to the public, National Blood Service Agency, NBSA, has installed solar-powered equipment in the Agency’s SouthWest Zonal Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer in the Zonal, Igoya Mifiekne, the Director General, National Blood Service Agency, NBSA, Professor Saleh Yuguda facilitated the installation to ensure uninterrupted power supply for quality service delivery.
The Statement adds that, the step would further enhance safe collection, screening and storage of blood, while it will also improve working conditions of members of staff in the Agency.
Commending the Director General, a Consultant Haematologist, Dr. Oladapo Aworanti said that regular power supply was one of the most important needs of any blood transfusion Centre which the DG had facilitated, assuring him of support to achieve the set goal of the Agency.
