Cholera: Ebonyi Records 28 Death, 386 Confirmed Cases
The Ebony’s state government has said twenty-eight people have died of cholera infection while three hundred and eighty-six (386) confirmed cases were recorded in the state
The Ebonyi state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Moses Ekuma, revealed this during a visit by the wife of the state governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, to Iboko General Hospital, one of six facilities designated for treating cholera patients.
Dr. Ekuma raised concerns about the unsafe and unconventional measures some residents have adopted, which he said could further endanger their health.
The wife of the governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru donated medical supplies, including Oral Dehydration Salt and hand sanitizers, to aid in the treatment of cholera patients.
