Biden Warns American Citizens Against Traveling To Israel
The United States Government under President Joe Biden has warned its citizens to reconsider travelling to Isreal and Gaza due to civil unrest.
An updated travel advisory issued Thursday, October 19, 2023, by the US Department of State includes a flat “Do not travel” due to terrorism, civil unrest, and armed conflict warning for Gaza.
For Israel and West Bank, the government urged its citizens to reconsider travel due to terrorism and civil unrest.
This is coming barely 24 hours after Joe Biden met the Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu over the ongoing bombardment in Gaza.
Recall that at around 1700 GMT on Tuesday, the health ministry in Gaza said an Israeli air strike had hit the Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza City. Israel denied it was responsible, pinning the blame on a misfired rocket aimed at Israeli territory fired by the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad from inside Gaza near the hospital.
