Authentic Mogajis Fete Oba Olakulehin Coronation, Seek Unity Among Ibadan Chiefs

The Council of Authentic Mogajis on Friday afternoon staged am elaborate ceremony in Ibadan to celebrate the coronation of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Members of the council cladded in white native attire lavished sumptuous meals and drinks on residents and guests at Labo, Oranyan area of the metropolis

Chairman Authentic Mogaji of Ibadanland Mogaji, Chief Musliudeen Adekunle, expressed excitement at the coronation of the first class monarch, noting that although the government approval was delayed beyond the twenty-one days window, the will of the people was not subverted.

Chief Adekunle who’s the Mogaji Ile Aperin, Enjoined Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1 to unite the Olubadan-in-Council and ensure peace in all the chieftaincy hierarchy of the highly placed olubadan ascension system.

Members of the Council of Authentic Mogajis including, chief Olawale Oladoja, Mogaji Abdulganiyu Popoola, Mogaji Ibrahim Adeyemo and Engineer Sarafadeen Olayiwola called on the to promote the welfare of the Ibadan Mogajis and employed thorough scrutiny in the selection individuals as mogajis to ensure non Indigenes clinch the title.

Other Mogajis; Mogaji Mufutau Gbadegesin, Oloye, Fatai Kolawole, Mogaji Kamarudeen Pupula, Mogaji Samsudeen Bello, who also spoke in separate interviews with newsmen, warned politicians to desist from their gimmicks of causing distractions in the highly respected Ibadan traditional kingship system.
