Ansar-ud-deen Missioner Calls for Compromise on New National Minimum Wage
Missioner and Chief Imam, Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Agbowo Branch, Alhaji Abdulfatai Yaqub has called on federal government and the organised labour to agree on a convenient figure as national minimum wage rather than towing different paths on the negotiation table.
Alhaji Yaqub made the called in a sermon shortly after leading the two rakat prayer and the slaughtering of the symbolic ram at the Eid praying ground.
He explained that disparities in the figure would prolong the much awaited amount as national minimum wage to emerge, saying it would plung the civil servants and other salary earners into financial incapability
Alhaji Yaqub urged both the labour and government to shift their grounds and negotiate based on the current economic reality as well as the sustainability of the wage so as not to record any job loss or non payment of salaries.
He called on Nigerian leaders to deal in the fear of Allah by delivering on their campaign promises in order engender the development of the grassroots
Chairman, Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Agbowo Branch, Alhaji Ismail Adegbola, who reflected on the teachings and lessons of Eid-el-kabir, admonished Muslim faithful to be truthful, submit to the will of Allah and keep their promises.
Alhaji Adegbola called on fathers to devote more time for their children rather than sending money only, addding that such would discourage them from engaging in social vices capable of ruining their lives
Also speaking, the Treasurer Ansar Ud Deen Society, Oyo state, Alahaji Gbadamosi, enjoined fathers to cut down on their excesses and embrace subsistent farming to scale the hurddles of the current economic challenges
Two Alhaja Muhinat Olanrewaju and Alhaja Ajarat Gbadamosi who thanked almighty Allah for witnessing the 2024 Eid-el-kabir celebration, called on government to cut down the inflation on the prices of food items and commodities so as to reduce the suffering and hunger in the land.
