Aiyedatiwa Inaugurates New LG Chairmen, Tasks Them on Grassroots Development
The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has challenged the newly inaugurated chairmen and vice chairmen of the 18 local government areas to ensure rapid development of their councils.
Speaking at the inauguration event in Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that the outcome of the election showed the wishes of the people of the state and charged the council bosses to ensure grassroots development.
He reiterated that the 33 Local Council Development Areas , LCDAs had come to stay, noting that they were created by law to further bring government closer to the people of Ondo State.
While applauding the effort of security agencies in maintaining peace during the election , the governor also applauded the state Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) for conducting a peaceful, free, fair, credible and conclusive council Election.
The Chief Judge, Justice Olusegun Olusola, administered Oath Of Office and allegiance on the new council bosses.
Speaking with journalists in an interview , the Chairman , Akoko north east, and Akoko North West councils ,Mr Mohammed Olawale and Mr Owolabi Esan promised to fastrack developmental projects in all sectors of development.
