The suspension follows his recent defeat to fellow Brit Daniel Dubois, last week.
It was noted that a 28-day suspension is standard practice after a stoppage defeat, though insiders have pointed out that it won’t impact Joshua’s plans since he isn’t scheduled to fight during this period. Reports also suggest that Joshua is unlikely to return to the ring this year.
This loss marks the fourth in his career, with his first notable defeat coming in 2019 against Andy Ruiz Jr, before he avenged it six months later.
