#EndBadGovernance: Organisers Suspend Protest in Osun
The Coalition of Concerned Nigerian Citizens, CCNC, the organizing body of the EndBadGovernance protest in Osun State has suspended its protest.
This was made known in a statement made available to Newsmen in Osogbo, by the Coordinator, CCNC ,Mr. Adetunji Ajala.
Mr. Ajala noted that they had successfully made thier demands clear thereby seeking immediate action from Public office holders to address the pressing issues affecting the citizens of the Nation.
He explained that the decision became imperative in view of the ongoing activities in commemoration of the Osun Osogbo festival Osogbo.
Mr Ajala urged the concerned citizens to remain resolute on its demands and continue to ventilate the same while planning for the next stage of the struggle, incase the demands are not meet.
The Coordinator, CCNC, Osogbo,Mr. Adetunji Ajala “Considering the safety of the influx of tourists coming for the global Osun osogbo festival and the possibility of hoodlums disguising as tourist and unleashing attacks on peaceful protesters amidst other security concerns, we consider it imperative to put the protest on hold today 6th August, 2024 ”
While we salute the courage of peaceful protesters, we urge concerned citizens to remain resolute on our demands and continue to ventilate the same while planning for the next stage of the struggle should incase the demands are not meant.”
