IFD: Clerics Task Fathers on Good Parenting
Fathers have been urged to devote time for the upbringing of their children rather than sending money for their upkeep only.
Two Clerics gave the advice, in an interview with radio Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s international father’s day.
Missioner and Chief Imam, Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Agbowo Branch, Alhaji Abdulfatai Yaqub who spoke in Yoruba, explained that the supervision of fathers on children goes along way in checkmating them against exhibiting social vices
He noted that great prophets of reckon prioritised the teaching and nurturing of their children so as to bequeath good legacy to them and next generation.
In the same vein, the priest in charge of Wonderland Baptist church, Orogun, Rev. Peter Oláníyì, enjoined fathers to seek alternative income to enable them beat the soci-economic challenges of the nation in their strive to discharge their responsibilities to the family
He advised them to cut down on their excesses and learn vocational skills that would earn them additional income so as to discharge their family obligations.
